I'm Patti and this is my very first blogpost for my second business attempt. I ran a business for several years called Grandma's Featherbed, but it saw its day, so now I'm here trying to make a go of it in the wedding planning and design business. I have a couple of weddings under my belt and found out that ...I LOVE this job! Where else can you (almost) make your own hours and work with people on one of the happiest occasions of their lives?! Every time I meet with a new bride, I'm thrilled that in this sometimes jaded world, people still manage to find each other, fall in love, and make a commitment to spend the rest of their lives together. There's something wonderful about standing up in front of those closest to you and vowing to stay together and take care of each other that makes me teary-eyed every time. If I can do my part to make the surroundings while this momentous event is occurring more beautiful and memorable, count me in!
