Holidays...Yahoo! Coral & Khaki

So looking forward to having some time off to tie up a few loose ends, work on organizing my wedding items, and meeting with my April bride. She is a coral and khaki with accents of chartreuse. Funny how I categorize all my brides by their colors now! I've been working on table runners in khaki damsk since (a) she loves damask and (b) khaki damask is almost impossibloe to find. Luckily, yay E-bay! I found some ivory on ivory damask, 10 yards, which I was able to get 12 runners out of it. They turned out very nicely if I do say so myself and paired with the coral, so elegant and pretty! I hope she'll be as excited about them as I am.
So this morning... a little coral inspiration from some of my favorite places:

Unproductive/Productive Weekend?

Internet issues this weekend...ugh! Hours on the phone with Time Warner Cable only to find out there's some sort of outage in our area Not good when I had plans to try to work on the website this weekend. I did manage to get the article up on Hubpages about Woodlands Weddings that I wanted to do.
With the little bit of internet connectivity I've had, I have managed to do a little research on Irish weddings which is going to sort of be the theme of the June wedding I'm doing. I say sort of, because the groom is Italian! Not sure how all that's going to play out, but wanted to share with you some of the pretty things I've found.

Love these pretty invitations and I'm really starting to like emerald green, although it's one of those colors I never wear. But the thought of pairing it with silver for the wedding decor, now that's an idea I truly love!

Found this beautiful Irish blessing on Etsy with a Celtic knot design.

These emerald green shoes from Bella Fashion are to die for!

And how about this fabulous green bridesmaid's dress I found on Jasmine Week's site...love the shape of this gorgeous dress! My Irish eyes are definitely smiling!

Widgets & What's-its

Who knew this blogging thing was so complicated? I've been on Wedding Wire today and with three positive reviews, they give you a "Recommended Vendor" badge to put on your blog and website. But where to you place all these codes? I have no clue about "code" or widgets or whats-its or hobbits nor any of that stuff. No wait, hobbits were in Lord of the Rings...whoopsie! Anyway, what I don't know about all this would fill at least a Carnival cruise ship.

Oh well, I'll learn...

Wedding Over...Now The Wedding Porn!

The wedding is over and it's all over, but the 10,000 boxes of stuff still in my basement! No, seriously, it was a beautiful wedding, albeit, I had to view through a screened door which wasn't fun, but everything went well. There were a couple of snafus, but nothing major. So time to share the wedding pics with you!

Pam wanted twinkle lights, so she got twinkle lights. I had Gunny, handyman extraordinaire put lights in all the trees along the pathway and we had lit candles everywhere. We did had some candle issues, because there was a breeze coming from across the lake, but thought the twinkle lights were pretty. NOTE to self: Bring twice as many lights next time!

The guest sign-in was one of my favorite parts. I used an old dressing table scrounged from my garage and spray painted silver and the very cool guest book I found for Pam and Nik at Hobby Lobby, a deal and a steal (!), a floral arrangement I already had with some sunflowers and tree branches added, dried corn, some pens I had wrapped in cornhusks and twine. I opened one of the dressing table drawers and put in a doily, pine cone, and pampas grass. I hung silver initials P & N off of the drawer handle, then propped another amazing find, the weathered piece of wood my work bud and I found lying in back of K-Mart (yes!)painted with the verse Pam wanted. It was an awesome little vignette!

The path was lit with shepherd's hooks and votive candles accented with raffia and silk daisies.

I loved the burlap and lace wrapped bottles I did with mail box numbers on them spelling out the wedding date! Those went on the outdoor fireplace mantle and made such a simple statement with the white pumpkins and fall wreath on the mantle.

I also just have to share pictures of Pam done by Cindy Boykin-Faulkenberry Photography. They were done in a a back alley in Camden and are just awesome. Cindy is so talented!

Isn't Pam gorgeous?

I'll have to divide this into several posts, there is just so much to tell!

WEDDING WEEKEND

Wow! The day had arrived. Or should I say the weekend. This Sunday Pam and Nik will become husband and wife at a wedding I did start to finish, design, flowers, decor, everything! Even my son is catering. So very excited! And almost sick to my stomach at the same time. I have horror images in my mind of the luminaries catching fire or the candles not staying lit during the ceremony. Or falling over and setting Pam's dress on fire. Ugh, I need to stop! I ended up with so much stuff that I've had to rent a U-haul to move everything. A big expense, but had to be done. When I get further into this business, I'll buy my own. My house looks like a wedding hurricane hit it! But everything is amazing and I'm so proud of it all. I'll post tons of pictures here and Facebook for everyone to see afterward. I haven't posted any, because I didn't want to blow the surprise. And still, even after all of this, it's racing through my mind of what I didn't get done. How much more I would have wanted to do. I really do need to stop!

But here's a sneak peak at the awesome wedding decor!

A New Aisle Runner

Well, I decided to post an ad on Etsy for my aisle runners and was pleasantly surprised to get some responses.  It's very similar to the one I did for Nicole and Garth's wedding, except this bride wants their monogram letter in ORANGE which I just love!  Always nice when people aren't afraid of color!  I designed it in Publisher and got my very good friend to blow it up into life size for me for a template, so now I'm going through the tedious process of taping it together, so I can slide it under the runner for tracing.  UGH!
I nearly forgot! I've never put up Nikki and Garth's photos for everyone to see. First, I've got to give credit to the most amazingly hard working photographer I'ver ever seen, Renee Ittner McManus from RIM photography. The woman was everywhere! She got some great shots and is truly very talented. I've never seen so many absolutely perfect pictures. Truly. So, without further ado:

These were the wrist corsages the junior bridesmaids and flower girls wore.

The pew markers that absolutely made the whole church.

Garth's First Look at Nikki...wow. what a look of love. That guy adores her!

And Nikki's bouquet, so glad I knew about Branham's Wholesale Florist in Columbia. It saved us a ton of money on the 450, that's right, 450 roses (!) that we bought for me to do the flowers for the big day.

The aisle runner unfortunately didn't show well in any of the pictures, but I was thrilled to see the videographers used it as the background for the opening of the wedding video. You can kind of see it here:
